On one side of the ground is the Main Stand. It is a traditional looking
stand that is covered and all seated. It only runs for about a third of the
length of the pitch and straddles the half way line. The seated area is
elevated above the pitch meaning that spectators have to climb a small set
of stairs in front to access it. There are windshields to either side and
the Club’s offices are located in the building behind. During 2007 a further
500 covered seats were installed next to this stand in front of the new
Cambridgeshire County FA Headquarters building, which gives this side of the
stadium a bit of an odd look. Opposite is another small seated stand which
is covered and looks quite tidy. Both ends are virtually identical small
covered terraces, that look to have been recently constructed. The ground is
completed with a set of eight floodlights, four of which run down each side
of the pitch. There is quite a lot of greenery to be seen around the
perimeter of the ground, re-enforcing its rural look. Top Of

Away fans are mostly
housed in the Bridge Road End Terrace, which does have some cover.
Additionally around 150 seats are allocated a portion of the small covered
seated stand on the far side of the pitch. There is a catering van available
providing amongst other things, burgers, bacon rolls and chips. Peter Holdridge
adds; 'The Club are small
and friendly as one might expect from a team that has climbed from the
Eastern Counties league to the Conference in only eight seasons. This is a
club where the man on the pie stall wants to have a chat and the lady with
the radio is listening to The Archers. The ground is next to a recreation
ground, which adds to the feeling of a village team. However, with a
management team of Steve Fallon and John Beck and an ambitious Chairman the
club and the team should not be underestimated. Expect a friendly welcome
(except for local derbies). The ground is easy to find and close to the A14
and M11, which should mean a quick journey for most. Plenty of parking close
by and good food mean this should be a good day out'. Top Of

| Where To Drink? |
There is a small club house at the ground, but alas this is for home
supporters only. The nearest pub is called
the Railway Vue on Station Road. It is about a 5-10 minute walk away. From
the entrance of the ground turn right and head along Bridge Road. Turn left
at the next set of traffic lights and then left again into Station Road. The
pub is down on the left and there is plenty of street parking in this area
to be had. Dilan Owen adds; 'You can get to the Railway Vue even
quicker if you walk down the closed off road opposite the ground entrance,
the Railway Vue is then down on your right'.
If you have a bit more time on your hands then
you can go into the centre of Histon then there are number of pubs to be
found on the High Street, including the Barley Mow, Boot Inn, Rose & Crown
and the Red Lion. The latter being listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. Top

Histon is situated just north of Cambridge. The ground is located on the
outskirts of the nearby village of
Impington. Leave the
M11 and take the A14 towards Newmarket. At Junction 32 take the B1049
towards Histon. You will pass a Holiday Inn on your right and then the road
goes over an old Railway Line. The entrance to the ground is just down on
the right, just before the pedestrian crossing. If you start driving past
houses then you have gone too far! There is no car parking available at the ground for visiting supporters.
There is though plenty of street parking available.

There is no longer a railway station in Histon. The nearest
station is in Cambridge, around three miles away. The Citi 7 bus regularly
runs from Cambridge station to Histon/Impington (the ground is on the very
edge of Impington).
Get off at the BUPA Cambridge Lea Hospital or
Railway Vue pub stops, both close to the ground. Top Of
