| What's The Amlin Stadium Like? | |
|
On one side
is the tidy looking Main Stand. This covered all
seated stand runs for around half the length of
the pitch and straddles the half way line. It
contains 553 seats and has open portions of terracing
to either side. It does though have a number of
supporting pillars running along its front. Opposite
is the Cressing Road Terrace. This small covered
terrace has the team dugouts located in front and has a
television gantry located on top that looks a little
precarious. |

| What Is It Like For Visiting Supporters? | |
|
Away fans
are housed in the intrigungly named Quag End.
This terrace has a capacity of around 750
fans. It does have a roof but this does not extend to
the whole width of the pitch, meaning that there are
also portions of open terracing to either
side. However, viewing from this area is not
particularly great, as the covered area has a
number of supporting pillars along its front and the
standing area is shallow, comprising of just two
wide steps. Food on offer includes; Burgers
(£2.50), Hot Dogs (£2.50), Bacon Rolls
(£1.50) and Chips (£1.50). |

| Where To Eat and Drink? | |
|
There is a good sized club house at the ground which lets in away supporters. Otherwise a five minute walk away is the Orange Tree Pub. If arriving by train then you may care to visit a Wetherspoons outlet called the Picture Palace on Fairfield Road, which is only a five minute walk away from the station. This converted former cinema, is listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. If you had travelled to the ground by car from the M11, then you will have seen by the Galley’s Corner roundabout, a McDonalds, KFC & Pizza Hut outlets. |

| How To Get There By Car & Where To Park | |
| Leave
the M11 at junction 8 and take the A120 towards
Colchester. Follow the A120 for 16 miles until you reach
the 'Galley's Corner' roundabout (with McDonalds on your
right). Take the first exit into Cressing Road. After
three quarters of a mile turn left into Clockhouse Way
(signposted Braintree Town FC) and then first left again
for the ground. There is a small car park at the ground,
otherwise street parking. Map showing the location of the Amlin Stadium (at the bottom of this page). |

| By Train | |
| Braintree station is situated just under a mile away from the ground. It is served by trains from London Liverpool Street. Exit the station and turn right along the Station Approach. Cross Rose Hill at the pedestrian crossing into Railway Road. Turn right at the traffic lights into the wondrously named Trinovantian Way. This becomes Manor Street and then Lakes Road. After the 'Sportsmans' Snooker Club turn left into Chapel Hill. At triangular junction bear right into Cressing Road and then turn right into Clockhouse Way. Soon after right angled bend there is an unmarked road to the right, ground is at the end of this cul de sac. It takes around 20 minutes to walk.
